Other Comments: It was about a year ago when I heard Neutral Milk Hotel for the first time. After the guy played it at the wedding, I searched for the song without a name. I didn't know what it was called. Thus, I couldn't find it anywhere. At the same time, I had a friend who was listening to a band called "Neutral Milk Hotel" religiously. It made me curious, so I started to look up websites related to the band. I was searching for two different things that happened to be the same. She eventually played "In The Airplane" for me, and everything clicked. I still don't know how I was so stupid. I read the album name and heard the lyrics and never made a connection. I sang along with the song, and creeped my friend out. Comparing NMH to my other music is like comparing paintings to cartoons. I really wish they were still making beautiful music.

Other Comments: I first heard NMH (specifically In The Aeroplane...) during a long car ride into Northern Michigan with a friend. The music was like a soundtrack for the scenery... It changed my life. My friend didn't tell me the name of the album. We were tired, and I was too amazed to speak. Some months later, I recalled to magical notes, and asked my freind what it was. He didn't know what I was talking about (NMH tends to be indescribeable). Finally, he figured out what I was talking about and I went out and bought the album. Since then, I've gone through two copies because my first was so overplayed. I've listened to it every day since, literally. I've laughed, cried, and gawked in amazement at the beauty of Jeff's music.
