and i was amazed and tortured all at once and this is music that makes me FEEL
it makes me cry it makes me smile it moves me and touches me like no other force
ever has it's spiritual and surreal and amazing and so beautiful and stop me
before i say too much because this is my one true love and i can't get enough
of the brilliance and emotion and genius that pours from the soul like thick
sticky sweet syrup that covers us and never lets us forget what we never knew.

Power gig in Oxford (England, that is, as sadly I am English - I could buy a
hell of a lot more E6 records if I wasn't). He was absolutely lovely and like
the star-struck gimp I was I engaged him in conversation for what was probably
the most painful 5 mins of his life and got his autograph.

Best Records of Last Three Years: The last three years of my life have
been the most engaging and eye opening of all. I must have purchased a hundred
albums that piqued my interest - but none so much as NMH.
Other Comments: When I heard 'In The Aeroplane Over The Sea' I got this
trembling feeling. My own self-containment, over education and disregard had
left me indifferent to emotion. I had automatically turned off the spiritual
side which Jeff addresses in his songs. If a spiritual experience could be translated
into an album, Jeff Mangum has done so. And I'm reeling with happiness. And
I feel complete.

them? i waited 3 years to find out who the hell they were after listening to
"Gardenhead" off the radio -- as soon as I heard it I instinctively threw a
tape into my stereo and pressed record. I never found out who they were until
about 2 weeks ago... That song has been a sort of holy relic -- of a band that
never existed, yet somehow I had intercepted a broadcast from another dimension...
its amazing to realize they are a real band! what happened to them??? i have
a lot of research to do...

Other Comments: Since I was in Jeff and Will's first "band" (Maggot),
I would like to see/hear them, as well as Rob, again. Also, I cannot say for
sure, but I don't recall yelling lyrics about "masturbation" as that term is
generally used; moreover, I don't recall singing about patricide. We had a good
time, and were all both disgusting and immature. Maggot tapes are still circulating
- regretfully. Regardless, I am proud to have known these guys, and wish them
the best!

Comments:amazing. the last nmh performance (i believer). they played
engine, oh sister (supposedly the last time ever) and in the aeroplane. corrin
tucker from sleater kinney also played solo that night and major organ played.
the highlight was elf power doing the arrow flies... with jeff singing his part
and the last chorus... and the iggy pop cover w/ jeff singing............ and
somking pot with bryan helium
